Kromann Reumert has therefore put together one of the strongest litigation and investigation teams in the country—our Dispute Resolution Group—comprised exclusively of litigation and investigation specialists.
We have extensive experience handling very substantial, complex and document-intensive cases and investigations, drawing on the full range of our many resources. This, combined with our application of legal tech, makes us particularly competent in the handling of large-scale and complex litigation and arbitration proceedings as well as investigations.
We are also greatly experienced in both international and national arbitration proceedings and legal actions before Danish courts on every level, handling hundreds of such proceedings each year on average. Further strengthening our competencies and resources, we have at our disposal a substantial international network, which allows us to handle and conduct cases across borders, always ensuring premium-quality advice even where cases extend beyond Danish borders.
Our litigators have experience as prosecutors, arbitrators, both nationally and internationally, and/or as acting judges in Danish courts. We therefore have outstanding insight into the way authorities and judges think and work, giving us the best possible foundation to achieve successful outcomes of the cases our clients entrust us with.

- we were and are still retained by a state-owned company to investigate and take legal action against former directors, officers and auditors of banks that collapsed during the last financial crisis, including six of the biggest and most high-profile and noteworthy legal actions, most of which were or are being pursued up to the Supreme Court (2018-2022)
- we have represented a number of large national and international private equity funds in arbitration proceedings over claims of warranty breaches in M&A transactions (2014-2021)
- we have represented several industrial buyers and sellers in arbitration proceedings over claims of warranty breaches in M&A transactions (2014-2021)
- we have represented a Swedish shipping line in an action before the Court in Luxembourg about cancellation of the Commission’s decision on State aid for a major bridge (2021)
- we have represented and are representing a major utility in the first landmark cases over the validity - and assessment of damages - of a ban on the use of pesticides in protection zones near borings under section 24 of the Danish Environmental Protection Act (2021)
- we have represented a foreign shipyard in a major arbitration case over the total loss of a ship during rebuilding (2019)
- we have represented a big airline company in a Supreme Court action over compensation for delays (2017).
- we have represented the former directors of a renowned Danish (bankrupt) IT company against claims of management liability brought by the bankruptcy estate (2015);
- we have represented a big Dutch chemicals business in an action brought by a big Danish chemicals business claiming damages for infringement of EU competition rules on cartels (2015);
- we have represented a notable Danish bank in the latest Supreme Court action over prospectus liability in connection with compulsory redemption of minority shareholders (2013).

Case highlight
Following a trial hearing that took 7 days, the Supreme Court delivered judgement in the action against the former management of Roskilde Bank – one of the most extensive Supreme Court cases ever. With the judgment, the bank’s former CEO was ordered to pay damages of DKK 231 million to Finansiel Stabilitet.
Case highlight
The trade organisation De Danske Bilimportører succeeded in a Danish High Court case involving the question which documentation a car owner is required to provide in connection with repair work, if the car has been serviced regularly by an authorised repairer. It was a landmark decision of major importance to the car industry.
