Our London office
We have been present in London for more than 30 years. The volumes of international work in and out of Denmark that we are handling are increasing, so to meet demands we have expanded our London office exponentially in recent years to cover more and more of our practice areas. We have no less than five of our partners – based in London as well as in Copenhagen – leading the office together with a permanent staff of lawyers.
Partners with international experience
Partners Teis Gullitz-Wormslev, Jakob Hans Johansen, Christian Lundgren, Thomas Kaas and Claus Juel Hansen are setting the course in London – all of them with solid international experience behind them.
"We’re seeing a decided growth in cross-border transactions and cases – inbound as well as outbound – and many of them continue to be London-based. Adding to the number of practice areas we have permanently represented in London is a way for us to respond to the general increase in demand for more specialised legal services". So said partner Teis Gullitz-Wormslev in 2021 when we upped the London team, adding more practice areas and more staff.
The only ones in London
Our London office is as beneficial as it is unique. Ever since we set up there in 1991, we have been the only Danish law firm with a permanent presence in the UK capital. It is also a unique opportunity for our many lawyers who appreciate the opportunity to be stationed in London as representatives of their respective practice areas. In addition to our advisory services and legal work, we make sure to also invest quite a bit of time and effort nurturing the close relationships we have built with international and national clients over the years.
A broad spectrum of practice areas
The partners overseeing our London office have at their disposal there the practice areas of Insolvency & Restructuring, M&A, Private Equity, Banking and Finance, Dispute Resolution, and Patents, the most recent addition being the patents area, where we have the pleasure of working on a number of London-based cases. “Having a permanent establishment in London allows us to cater to the patents area much more effectively than we could have if working only out of Copenhagen. We can work better and much more easily on building long-term relationships that way,” said partner Nicolai Lindgreen about the patents division in London.
