Our startup & venture team is one of the largest and most experienced teams within this field in Denmark. The team is highly specialised in investments across verticals and stages.
In addition, as a full-service law firm, we have specialists in all relevant legal disciplines and can advise startups and venture capital funds on all legal questions and issues that may arise.
We have a long-standing collaboration with founders, Danish and international VCs, business angels and other investors, and our team knows and understands the Danish innovation environment market.
Advisory services for growth companies
We are highly specialized in the particular requirements applicable to companies that grow. We work with startups and scaleups throughout their entire lifecycle from formation to exit and can advise on all the legal issues you may encounter along the way.
Our advice spans everything from formation, shareholders' agreements, IP strategies and employment contracts through to incentive schemes, investments and other funding, transfers and exits. While no two startups are the same, the legal challenges along the way are most likely something we have seen before and are experienced in dealing with.

Advice and assistance to business angels
There is a big difference between being a business angel and being a venture fund.
As a business angel, you are typically involved early in the process, maybe even as the first external investor. Therefore the company may not yet know the ownership structure and how to work with investors. You may also discover that you are expected to inject money into the company by means of a convertible debt instrument or a SAFE, so that you will not gain ownership until completion of an actual capital round at a later date.
We are ready to help you ensure that your investment is properly protected, and we understand how to scope the assignment to match the amount of the investment.
