Jonas Bernhard

Jonas H. Bernhard assists Danish and foreign business clients in relation to all aspects of financial regulation.

He offers advice on regulatory issues to a multitude of financial sector firms and has particular knowledge of the rules governing asset managers (in particular managers of alternative investment funds and investment management companies) and the rules on investor protection which must be observed by such managers. Jonas also assists clients in assessing whether their business models require a licence from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and, if so, in drafting the relevant applications. Jonas further advises on all aspects of ESG, FinTech and crypto assets.

As an experienced adviser to clients in complex court and arbitration proceedings, in particular financial sector clients, Jonas has in-depth knowledge of the banking business.

He has also acted as adviser in some of the cases involving management liability in banks that emerged in the wake of the financial crisis. He has solid experience as adviser to financial undertakings on corporate criminal liability issues - in particular anti-money laundering and terrorist financing.

Jonas has been seconded to Danske Bank Group, working in its “Litigation & Enforcement” department.

In addition to his legal work, Jonas is team captain of Kromann Reumert's e-sports team at the Copenhagen office. The team participates in the YouSee eSports League.
