Jakob Dahl Mikkelsen
Jakob Dahl Mikkelsen specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration.
He represents clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings - national as well as international - involving insurance and liability issues, including product liability, management liability, construction law, aviation law, and personal and industrial injury. In addition, Jakob provides advice on product safety, product regulation, and producer requirements.

Jakob has further served as acting judge of the Danish Eastern High Court.
Jakob is also Kromann Reumert’s knowledge ambassador in the field of procedural law. As such, he is responsible for promoting the sharing of knowledge of the field, both internally within our organisation and with the outside world.
To Jakob, the interaction between the legal aspects of the case and the client’s commercial objectives is key. Jakob combines his extensive experience in dispute resolution with his commercial awareness to find the right solution for the client.

- Jakob is responsible for providing training and guidance to Kromann Reumert’s assistant attorneys before their test trials. He is also a frequent lecturer on procedural law at internal and external courses.

High-profile cases
Over the last couple of years, Jakob has represented clients before courts and tribunals in a number of leading cases, including the following:
- Assistance to FLSmidth in a claim for damages of approx. DKK 360 million, including advice on construction law and contractual interpretation.
- A claim for damages of approx. DKK 83 million against Parken Sport & Entertainment.
- Leading case about interpretation of insurance terms in relation to payment of interest, involving a claim for approx. DKK 13.5 million.
- A management liability claim for approx. DKK 33 million against an insurance company
- Assisted in a leading Supreme Court case to determine the Danish Court Administrations’ liability in connection with the implementation of the digital land registration system.
