Christian Jul Madsen
Christian specialises in insolvency and restructuring law, general business law, and mergers and acquisitions. He provides advice on aspects like restructuring, bankruptcy, compulsory composition, voluntary credit arrangements and transaction-related agreements. Christian became a partner in 2009.
Staying within the boundaries of the law, Christian always takes a business-minded, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to cases, so that there is always a balance between objectives and costs in order to meet the aims of the clients or creditors he represents. Christian is known for his rational case management and for quickly following up on progress to advance the interests of his clients or creditors. At the core of his advice is a combination of thorough legal knowledge, insight into Danish and international business conditions, and the ability to harmonise these elements within the context of the client’s strategy and commercial requirements.
Christian is a restructuring administrator or trustee in a considerable number of restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. He is also engaged in a large number of out-of-court restructuring proceedings and advises financial creditors on their positions in relation to various customers. Many of his cases have international dimensions, where Christian draws on his considerable experience in cross-border restructuring and other insolvency proceedings.
Christian further advises on family and succession law matters, including the administration of estates of deceased persons, acting also as advisor to the beneficiaries.
Moreover, Christian is member of a number of boards of directors.
