Zealand Pharma A/S completes private placement
The biotechnology company Zealand Pharma A/S has completed a directed issue and private placement of 6,578,948 new ordinary shares, yielding gross proceeds to the company of DKK 1.5 billion. Kromann Reumert has assisted the Managers in the placement: Danske Bank, Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, Nordea and Van Lanschot Kempen.
On 30 March 2023, Zealand Pharma A/S ("Zealand") announced the launch of a private placement of approximately 6.5 million new shares, at a price to be determined through an accelerated book-building process. The private placement, which was completed on the same date, was priced at DKK 228 per share.
Zealand intends to use the net proceeds from the placement to support its remaining late-stage rare disease assets, and pursue a strong strategic partner for future commercialization, advance its clinical-stage candidates, including the obesity/metabolic disease portfolio, progress additional peptide candidates from non-clinical development into early clinical development and continue its early discovery and research to develop additional peptide candidates.
