Kromann Reumert recruits prominent profile for our ESG practice
Attorney Line Berg Madsen returns to Kromann Reumert as a partner after having accumulated experience and inspiration from both the client-side spectrum and from Poul Schmith/Kammeradvokaten.
Having worked as an assistant attorney with Kromann Reumert and having also earned her bar admission here with us, Line Berg Madsen will find herself in familiar surroundings when she returns to us on 1 May 2023. This time, however, she will be a partner in our firm, brought in specifically to strengthen our already very capable team of ESG specialists.
Line has made a name for herself in recent years in the ESG area, advising businesses on issues such as responsible and sustainable investments, ESG requirements for suppliers, and ESG compliance.

We have been working with ESG for several years now, and a little under a year ago we were one of the first among the large Danish law firms to formalise the discipline into a practice area in its own right. ESG is important for everyone and is fast becoming an increasingly regulated area. We are following these developments so that we may keep up with and ahead of our clients to offer them the best advice possible. Therefore, of course, it is important that our ESG team has the best lawyers. We do have the best lawyers, and Line joining our team only adds to our strength,” says managing partner Christina Bruun Geertsen.
Besides her work advising on ESG, Line is an active member of the advisory board of Børsen Sustainable, which each year honours green frontrunners, and serves on the presidium of the World Wide Fund for Nature Denmark (WWF) and on the climate committee of the Association of Danish Law Firms. Also, Line has advised, right from her early years at Kromann Reumert, on export controls and sanctions and will also be part of Kromann Reumert's practice group in that area.
Line herself says about her return to Kromann Reumert, "I am very much looking forward to joining Kromann Reumert as a partner. I’ve enjoyed some very fine and stimulating years outside the firm, but now I am excited about joining the impressive ESG team already established here at Kromann Reumert and look forward to contributing to the firm's very important endeavour in this area".
