On the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai during 5-10 November 2018.
It is an important move for the Chinese government to actively open its market to the world and firmly support trade liberalization and economic globalization.
China is the second-largest economy in the world and is expected to import 10 trillion USD worth of products and services over the next 5 years. Thus, enterprises from over 120 countries and regions and about 150,000 professional purchasers are expected to attend the first CIIE.
2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Denmark Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and the first CIIE will be a significant event for the bilateral economic and trade relations. Also, it will provide an historic opportunity for Danish enterprises to present their first-class goods and services to the huge Chinese market.
