Legal privilege for European Patent Attorneys in Denmark

Today, the Danish parliament unanimously passed a new law granting European Patent Attorneys (EPAs) the same legal privilege as lawyers enjoy in relation to litigation that the lawyer handles or where his advice has been sought.

This is a welcome change to the law and ensures that European Patent Attorneys are able to act as consultants in patent litigation maintaining full client confidentiality regarding the matter.
